ABOUT US

AFRINURTURE FOR PEOPLE'S DEVELOPMENT

Who We Are

AFRIPEDO (Afrinurture for People’s Development) is a non-profit umbrella organization dedicated to promoting sustainable conservation, community empowerment, and rural development across Africa. We believe that lasting development is achieved when people, nature, and local economies grow together in harmony.

Working alongside communities, government institutions, development partners, and other stakeholders, AFRIPEDO designs and supports initiatives that improve livelihoods while protecting the environment for future generations. Our programs focus on creating practical, community-driven solutions that address social, economic, and environmental challenges.

Through capacity building, environmental conservation, education, youth and women empowerment, climate resilience, and sustainable livelihood initiatives, we help communities unlock opportunities for inclusive and long-term development.

Our commitment is built on partnership, innovation, transparency, and sustainability. By nurturing local leadership and encouraging community participation, we strive to create measurable and lasting impact where it matters most.

Our Vision

The mission of AFRIPEDO is to bridge the development gap between environments, wildlife, communities by empowering marginalized rural populations towards the attainment of a standard of better life. AFRIPEDO does this by initiating and implementing pioneering programs and projects which serve as a means to enhance sustainable human, wildlife and environmental sustainable development from within and also providing tailor made consulting and training services to other organizations and individuals who work for the same purpose.

Our Mission

AFRIPEDO envisions a nation where all people bordering protected areas (national parks, game reserves, game controlled areas, open areas, Ngorongoro Conservation Area and wildlife management areas, forest reserves, marine parks, Ramsar sites, and nature reserves) attain the opportunity to live a better life by conserving wildlife and the environment for sustainable development as indicated by literacy, food security, healthy well-being, and the ability to cope with the conserved environment and adapt to climate change.
